For this class, you will make a dessert that is much easier than it looks; perfect for tea times, picnics, or celebration cakes that aren’t as sweet as the usual alternatives. You will select your own seasonal fruit (and nuts if desired) to create a beautiful caramelised topping to a moist, lightly spiced sponge. The perfect accompaniment to warm cakes is an English custard - you'll be taught a foolproof method for this too!
