Tube: Come out of Balham Tube and you'll see the main high street. Season Cookshop is a five minute walk on the right.

Overground: Balham overground is on a corner; rather than turning left (away from the action), go straight and to the right out of the station, down Balham high street. We are a five minute walk on the right, just as the road bends round to the right.

As well as offering expert advice (see below), we provide cake tin hire, a knife sharpening service and grind the best coffee in London (Monmouth and W Martyn) on the premises.

Note: we have only a small percentage of what the store stocks on our website, and new items and offers arrive all the time, so do pop in!

Having trained as a chef and worked in professional kitchens, choosing a favourite thing to cook is a difficult task! I enjoy cooking anything someone has challenged me to make, whether it's roast turkey for 14 people (with all the trimmings!) or a simple chocolate birthday cake. I'm always looking for new recipes to try and adapt to my tastes. Cooking and baking is the best way to say thank you, I love you or I'm there for you.

One of my favourite treats to bake are brownies - simple, foolproof and amazing! I still remember the first time I successfully baked a batch for the first time. I love to try new recipes, and never do the same recipe twice, unless its a classic Hungarian dish or a firm favourite. I enjoy experimenting and substituting ingredients in recipes for things I have in the cupboard, and luckily, my husband never complains!

A great deal of my cooking is inspired by my oriental background and upbringing, but having grown up in London, I have been exposed to and spoilt by an extensive range of cuisine. I love creating fusion dishes. I love adding spices to classic English dishes like Szechwan peppers to roast lamb and chilli to chocolate muffins. My green tea mousse cakes have had many compliments from friends and family! East meets West!
