Cooking Classes

Our cooking classes at our Crouch End store are a chance for us to share wonderful recipes, techniques and skills to enhance your cooking and baking repertoire. Our classes are friendly, intimate, social affairs, with no more than 10 to a class, and it's great to enjoy our dishes at the end with a glass of wine. Cooking courses are very much hands on, balanced with lots of teaching points, mini demos and individual teaching. Recipe cards are included.

    Learn how to make pasta from scratch and create dishes that are bursting with flavour!
  2. Asian Takeaway Classics | 24th September 6.30pm | £45

    2.5 hours
    You won’t need to reach for the phone to order your favourite takeaway after the tantalising dishes you’ll learn to master on this course!
  3. Magnificent Risotto | 1st October 6.30pm | £45

    2.5 hours
    One of those things that becomes something different when done properly, learn what goes into an authentic risotto, and create risotto with pumpkin with crispy sage served in parmesan cups, as well as risotto alla Milanese.
  4. A taste of France | 8th October 6.30pm | £45

    2.5 hours

    Master the art of French Baking with experienced baker Catherine, you will be making a lovely fougasse with a dip to go with it and a mouthwatering dessert.

  5. Vegan Southern Indian Feast | 15th October | £45

    2.5 hours

    Create a table full of treats so that everyone can share the wonderfu dishes created in a street food style Indian tapas feast. 

  6. Japanese Ramen & Gyoza | 29th October 6.30pm | £45

    2.5 hours

    Master the art of making Gyoza and Ramen from scratch ! Wow your guests making these Japanese favourite dishes.

Danielle knows hew stuff; she chose really tasty recipes that required some skill, but not dauntingly so, and made sure we all had the opportunity to learn something new in a relaxed atmosphere.

Feedback wise I really enjoyed the class, I thought the recipes were well thought out and delicious. The cooking equipment was all top of the range which was great and it was a nice touch having music on. The advice and guidance was also great.

The recipes were easy to follow but things we wouldn’t have thought to make ourselves. We now have 4 new recipes to add to our repertoire. Danielle who took the class was so enthusiastic and fun but really knew her stuff offering helpful tips throughout. Wine was a lovely touch when we were eating too and very good quality. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an after work date night or getting friends together.

It was interesting seeing all the different dishes coming together. I think the format of making the food and then eating it with a glass of wine works well and makes the event very sociable.:-) I think also it was a fun night because everyone who came along was very friendly and quite social. Danielle and the assistant there were both good fun and were very helpful when we got stuck with things.... which for me was often! They both seemed to enjoy it too. A fun evening all round and I would like to come back from another class in the future.

Bus: The W7 from Finsbury Park runs very regularly (there’s one about every 8 minutes), and drops you a two minute walk away from our store.

Overground: The nearest overground stations are Crouch Hill and Hornsey, which are a good 15 minute walk from the store.
